Commercialization nationwide is at an all-time high. According to American Farmland Trust, 24.4 million farmland acres will be commercialized if left unchecked by 2040. That’s the size of the entire state of South Carolina! As the relentless demand for housing and commercial development increases state by state, available spaces for wildlife and outdoor activities are vanishing at an alarming rate. SABO is committed to reversing this trend. Our goal is to slow down the relentless commercial growth by encouraging landowners to choose leases for public utilization over selling their land to developers.
